Well you sure have tried and probably using Google Chrome Browser in your iOS running device. And it sure gives a bit of a good browsing experience. Safari and Google Chrome for iOS are very much similar. We did not get to see many features over Safari in Chrome. But instead of that Google Chrome is rocking the devices and almost most the devices run Google Chrome.
Now as I said Safari and Chrome are very much of a same type, by that I mean the features. Now this time we have a very special and useful tweak in the Cydia Store. Nobita.ZZZ, who is also the developer of BetterChrome has now built a new Cydia Tweak which has a great demand by Chrome users. A downloader for Google Chrome for iOS and “Chrome Download Enabler” is the name of the tweak.
The Jailbreak Tweak as name indicates allows you to download files within Google Chrome Browser. This is similar to Safari Download manager. Now you must know what we have here. But Chrome Download Enabler simply does its job and it does not have anything else with it. I am talking about UI and some other features we would wish to have like, Pause or resume the download. It’s the very first tweak that downloads file in Google Chrome Browser and so it has just basic functionality.

What’s Not Hot in Chrome Download Enabler
When the file is downloading, the status shows “Downloading”. You will not get to see what percentage of download has been completed. Just have to wait until it’s done without any knowledge of what;s going on. Also you cannot delete the download history. No resume and pause functionality. So basically this tweak allows you to just download the file and that is it.
When the file is downloaded, you can tap on it to open it with any file manager you have installed, e.g. iFile or any other. Also the download has a file format of .plist which contains the download details of a file. To see the download in action you have to visit http://download within Chrome Browser.
The developer has promised to bring new features with the next update of Chrome Download Enabler. What we expect to see are, better UI, more features, pause and resume. In one, a fully functional download manager in Google Chrome Browser for iOS and not just a Downloader.
Chrome Download Enabler Jailbreak Tweak is available in Cydia Store under ModMyi repo for $2. This I guess is a bit high. A dollar could have been perfect. So if you were looking for a downloader for Chrome then Chrome Download Enabler Cydia Tweak is the one for you.
