Remember DiskDigger, files recovery apps for windows platform, has just launched itself for android platform; now DiskDigger is available for free download as an android app at Google play store.
Before digging any further I’ll like to tell you that DiskDigger for android is still in beta stages, but it is quite functional that’s why developers decided to release it.
As of now DiskDigger will only recover deleted JPG and PNG image files. This limitation of course will be removed in the final release version allowing many more image file formats to be recovered.
Also do remember that is it a file recovery apps so it needs root level access to file system to perform recovery option, so those with root access only can use this app.
DiskDigger app for android as earlier mention in still beta stages so the UI of the app is still quite undone and provides very simple and raw interface for usability.
Once launched the app displays all the available partitions/devices but the display name is shown using the linux device naming system, so it will be quite difficult to identify the memory card. But don’t worry the memory card should appear as “/mnt/sdcard” or “/data” If you are on android tablets.
From list you can select the device to scan, once selected the apps will start scanning the device and start displaying the recovered images while continuing the scan operation, so that you can cancel it if you’ve have found your required image.
You can also the filter the recovered image by file types though there are only 2 filters now. As for the operations available to perform on recovered image you have 2 things you can do, you can save the recovered image as another file using the save button and secondly you can email the image to anybody using the email button.
Quite a functional apps, so if you have accidently deleted any image or your loved ones photos then head over to below link to download the DiskDigger app.
