Yesterday we had reported about the SAM unlock method which can unlock iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS on any Baseband and any iOS firmware. The only criteria being that the iPhone should be having Jailbreak and you must perform the Unlock procedure using the SIM card which you wish to use in your iPhone.
After you perform the Unlock it is very important for you to save the iPhone Unlock Ticket or BB SAM Unlock ticket which would allow you to perform any troubleshooting later and to maintain the Unlock status for the iPhone for the SIM card.
There are now two methods by which you can save your iPhone Unlock ticket :
Automatically using Redsn0w 0.9.10b8 :
You can save the iPhone Unlock Ticket automatically using the Redsnow 0.9.10b8. You just need to go toExtras->Even More->Backup and make a copy of the unlock ticket. You just need to make sure that the afc2 service is enabled in your iPhone.
Manually using iFile or any other SSH client :
You can also manually save a compressed file of the Unlock ticket which you can get from your iPhone. Just follow our step by step tutorial given here :
Step 1. Launch Cydia and and tap on the Sections tab and go to Systems and select iFile package. Tap on Install and Confirm to install iFile on your iPhone. Once the installation is complete just tap on Return to Cydia icon.
Step 2 : Now launch iFile and tap on the back button on the top left corner of the screen and go to location /var location.
Step 3 : Now navigate to /var/root/library and tap on the Edit button and select the folder Lockdown and tap on zip icon on the tab bar.
Step 4 : Enter a name for the compressed file to be created and save the file and mail it to yourself so you can save it in your computer.
The compressed file contains the Unlock ticket for your iPhone and the SIM card which you have used. In order to use more than one SIM card for your iPhone you need to Unlock it repeatedly for each SIM card and save the SAM BB Ticket. If you have iFile already installed in your iPhone than you can just go to the location mentioned and save the ticket.
