Reset is another option in the iPhone setting’s pane that allows you to reset to various settings. You get option to Reset to default setting, erase content, Network settings and more. But if done without knowledge could cost you loss of data and settings. You might hit the button accidentally and lose your data. And to prevent that accident there is a new Cydia Tweak in Cydia Store called “ResetAllKiller”. First let us know why it is necessary.

What Reset All Settings option does?

When you hit the option to “Reset All Settings” it will reset all the settings that you have made to work with your comfort to default. That means you will have to set all the settings all over again.

What Erase All Contents and Settings does?

This is dangerous, it will not only reset the settings but also erases all of your data including pictures, files, videos, etc from your iPhone. Of course you will be asked for the permission before it deletes all your content but still a very dangerous option if used without knowledge and a backup.

What ResetAllKiller does?

ResetAllKiller does a very simple task. When installed both the options “Reset All settings” and “Erase All Content and Settings” will be disabled in your iPhone. So that no one can use it to do what it is meant for. The tweak will not have any settings pane or any icon in your Home Screen. It will simply get installed and will disable the reset option in settings app.

You must be thinking I am not a kid to accidentally hit reset button and continue with it. But what if there are kids around you? This tweak would help a lot to safe all your content. To enable the option you have to uninstall the tweak which I guess a child would not be able to do accidentally. So give it a try and do let us know if its useful for you. ResetAllKiller Cydia Tweak is available in Cydia Store under BigBoss repo for free and is compatible with iOs 4 and above.
