Cydia has always been the home of of good things for Apple Users. The wide range of functionality that an iPhone offers after being Jailbroken is immense. Though Cydia with all its pros has been very important but the absence of multitasking has always bugged users while using it. The need of loading all App data each and every time you start it and not being able to resume from the point the Cydia was closed is a bummer. Adding to that once you are loading an App in Cydia you cant even use your phone for other functions.
In this tutorial we will show you how to enable Multitasking in Cydia.
Note: This trick requires editing system files, in the event of any error you may even need to restore your iDevice. So proceed at your own risk. Having said that, if you face any problem feel free to comment below and we will be happy to help.
Step 1: Start iFile and navigate to /Applications and tap on Cydia.app
Step 2: Locate the file info.plist
Step 3: Open the file in text viewer and go to the bottom of the file.
Step 4: Find the text “<key> UIApplicationExistsOnSuspend </key> <true/>” and replace the text <true/> to <false/>
Thats it, you just have to now save the file and restart the phone. I would like to remind again this will change your system files and your device may malfunction but Multitasking in Cydia does seem’s awesome.
