World of Warcraft – one of the most popular MMORPG game will now very soon be available for iPhone. With the combined power of the Retina Display and a powerful GPU we expect the game to be a top notch experience. The news comes from a European gaming blog, Eurogamer, in an interview with Senior WoW producer John Lagrave informed that the Blizzard Entertainment the developers of the game are looking forward to port World of Warcraft to iPhone.
However Senior WoW producer John Lagrave, did mention that they wont go ahead until they have a good game for iPhone.
“We won’t do it until we think it’s decent. But it’s interesting and the world is evolving towards that little handheld device – I’d have fun on it, that’s absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that and we’re not – we don’t think- we’re foolish!
While the announcement has been made for the iPhone users we do expect it to be available for iPad too. In fact iPad can prove as a way better platform due to its larger surface area which can in turn make controlling the game much easy. It will be interesting to see how the developers port a game like WoW on iPhone and how they blend the multi-player essence.
Blizzrad is being very careful in releasing the iPhone game as they are keeping quality over quickness. Instead of hastily dishing out an undercooked game they are trying to maintain overall gaming experience. This is also not the first time that the WoW is hitting the iOS. We already have the WoW App for iPhone named World of Warcraft Mobile Armory in which that allows you to check auctions, look up PvP gear, create talent specs, and access the armory.
