Well this thing is definitely going to be the next big hit, we have been patiently waiting for a method or trick to directly download apps from android market to pc, well it seem possible now with the APK downloader
APK Downloader is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to download Android APK files from android market to your PC
Step to enable direct download of android app apk file from android market to your pc
Step1 – Download APK Downloader 1.0 Chrome Extension and install it
Step2 - Disable Chrome SSL error warnings
This step is necessary for the extension to work, skipping this step will result in failure and extension will not work
Right click on chrome shortcut icon and select properties
In the TARGET FIELD:
Append “ –ignore-certificate-errors” (without quotes, also note the SPACE before –ignore)
Finally the target will look something like this (you can ignore the c:program filesgooglechromeapplication part, it might differ on your pc)
“C:Program FilesGoogleChromeApplicationchrome.exe” –ignore-certificate-errors
Click ok and restart the chrome
Step3 – Open the APK downloader option page, if you haves successfully disable the SSL errors you will get the screen on the right otherwise you will get the screen on the left
Step4 – find your email and device ID
Now at the above screen you need to enter your device id and email id, you can find both using this device ID app by redphx
Step5 – enter your device ID, email ID and password and press login, once the login is successful you can now start using the apk downloader
browse the app which you want to download and press the GREEN icon you see in the address bar, the app will start downloading to your PC
