We had earlier reported the release and had also posted a full step by step tutorial on how to get Untethered Jailbreak on your iOS 5.0.1 device running on A4 chip. While most users completed the task with ease many users reported a Launchctl error while doing the Untethered Jailbreak. With the latest version of Redsn0w 0.9.10b2 and the Corona jailbreak Tweak being updated to deal with this error users can now have the Untethered Jailbreak without any glitches.
Jay Saurik Freeman in his Twitter account explained the need for the update :
Those who are having these issues might want to get this update. To get the new Corona version 1.0-3, simply open Cydia and select Changes tab.
From the Dev Team Blog :
The b2 version of redsn0w includes the launchctl-related fix by @planetbeing as mentioned by @saurik here and here. As usual, you can just re-run redsn0w in jailbreak mode over your existing 5.0.1 jailbreak (even a PwnageTool one), making sure to de-select “Install Cydia” if you do. Always be sure to do a controlled “slide to power off” shutdown of your device before running redsn0w.
So users who wish to fix this error need to Jailbreak their device again using the Redsn0w 0.9.10b2 and click on Jailbreak only this time you will have to keep the Install Cydia unselected. For those users who wish to get Untethered Jailbreak through Corona can install the latest package of Corona. If you have already installed Corona than the update will show up in the Changes tab.
