Android Market Common Error Solution
“this item is not compatible with your device”

It all started when I got my new micromax a75 dual sim phone, the phone was running bit slow, so I thought to download some common apps such as task manager and battery manager to improve it speed.
To much excitement I fired up the android market & browsed to task manager app. And what I see disappoint me.
“this item is not compatible with your device”
What? How can such thing happen? It’s a brand new phone of year 2012 and getting this error when downloading a simple app like task manager. Forget about app which required special resources and permission.
So I thought this might an issue with my version of android market installed on my phone, so I immediately loaded android market in computer browser. There also to my horror I met with “Your device is not compatible with this item” Error.
I began a frantic search on the internet, here and there and started getting panicky. None of the solution listed were simple or worked for me. Some solutions suggested as far as rooting your phone, hacking it change it to properties so that it get detected as “Samsung galaxy S”
I regretted buying this phone. Got disappointed and next day when I was just fiddling with it. I did something that worked for me, I was going to uninstall the market and try some other version, but as soon as I went in the menu to uninstall it, I saw nice little option looking at me that say “Clear Cache”. I did not give a second thought and press it and fired up the android market.
So what do I see now, tons of app filling my device screen, previously I used to see only 3-4 app in each categories.i knew I did something right I immediately went for the task manager app, now I see a nice green message that say
“Micromax a75 is compatible with this item”
That’s it I went on the rampage downloading dozen of apps. So if you are facing similar or same issue then you know what you need to do
Android Market Solution “this item is not compatible with your device”
You just need to clear android market cache
Go to your Menu button > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Press All > and then scroll down to Market. Press clear cache first and open the android market if this does work then try the clear data option and load market again
