MIPS technologies, the U.S based company has launched the world’s cheapest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet “Novo7”. The tablet is priced at $99, which is significantly low. This goes directly in competition with the world’s cheapest Tablet Aakash. Aakash tablet is priced at INR 3,000 and that too for commercial version. But with that price the specs of the device are also kept low. Novo 7 of course has better specification and is worth $99.
Well it has Android 4.0 ICS, 1GHz MIPS-based XBurst Single Core processor, Vivante GC860 GPU, 7 inch capacitive Multi Touch screen, rear camera of 2MP and front camera is also included. Relating to connectivity then Nova 7 has Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and HDMI Output. Moreover the tablet has Google apps and Android market support.
