Android 3.x HoneyComb based tablets have this feature of tethering to other devices to share its Internet Connection. Tethering is actually using your Tablet as a mobile hotspot or as a modem/router for your Internet connection for other wireless devices to be shared.
How To Share Internet Connection Of Your HoneyComb Tablet :
Step 1 : Go to your HoneyComb’s tablets Home Screen and click on Settings.
Step 2 : From the Settings navigate to Wireless & networks and click on Tethering and portable hotspot.
Step 3 : Enable Portable WiFi hotspot by checking it.
A Green Check Mark will appear when it is activated. Now you will have to configure your Wi-Fi settings.
Step 4 : Configure your Network SSID. Network SSID is the name of your Wi-Fi Network and also the name that other devices will see while connecting to the network.
Step 5 : Now to secure your connection from unauthorized access you will have to choose the Security Option. You can select one from WEP, WPA, or TKIP. Now just set the password for the Wi-Fi Network and you are done.
The password you configure is the password that other devices must be fed with in order to access the network. If you do not choose any Security Option your Network will remain open and anyone can access your Internet Connection.
However you will be charged for the Internet Usage from other devices if you are running on a limited plan. If at any point of time you wish to disable the Wi-Fi Tethering simply head to the Settings and and disable the Portable WiFi hotspot.
