The solution named Folders for Windows Phone Mango – comes from the folks over at Windows Phone Hacker. The announcement was made about a week ago but due to high demand the project has been released for public.
From Windows Phone Hacker:
After there was evidently a huge demand for Folders on Windows Phone after our demonstration, we’ve prepared the project for public release.
Setting it up is quick and easy, but at this stage, it will require the Folders Config desktop application to use. This application is simple: add folders to the list, and add applications to the folders.
In order to get this Homebrew solution you need to have a developer unlocked device. If you do not have one you would have to wait for the $9 ChevronWP7 unlock. Microsoft and Chevron team will soon jointly provide the unlocked Windows Phone 7 OS for just $ 9 which is about just 10 % of what Microsoft charges for thee developer program. We will inform our readers when it is available and for those who have Microsoft Developer account can head right to the step by step tutorial.
