Symbian OS that kept Nokia on top for years is about to vanish from North America. In the battle of OS’s Symbian was the leading OS until Android and iOS came into market. Still Symbian has not died. But in North America the life of Symbian is over.

President of Nokia’s US operations “Chris Weber” while speaking to All Thing D said “When we launch Windows Phones we will essentially be out of the Symbian business, the S40 business, etc”. This means that the Symbian is no more favorite flavor of the US users. But at the other hand Nokia’s Windows phone might work for Nokia. When asked will it, then Weber answered, it has to: “The reality is if we are not successful with Windows Phone, it doesn’t matter what we do.”

So let us just keep our fingers crossed and see what will be the response for Nokia’s Windows phone in US.
