Few moments ago we had reported about the successful porting of Apple Siri to the iPhone 4. Now we have new reports of work being done to port Apple Siri on the iPad 2.
We all are now big fans of Apple Siri, and it seems that all iDevice users other than iPhone 4S are eagerly awaiting to use this new feature. However the porting done to the iPhone 4 was not very efficient and also it would take alot of time for it to be really available in the iPhone 4 as it lacks certain hardware and GPU to run the Siri.
The new comes from Sonny Dickson an iOS Developer. In a Tweet made by Sonny Dickson he has mentioned that the Siri feature will soon be available on the iPad 2 and he has also posted a picture of iPad 2 with Siri settings open.
There hasnt been any more revelation about the progress or state of the development. As we had mentioned earlier in the iPhone 4 porting issue that the Apple Servers do not authorize and accept any request sent by a phone other than iPhone 4S for now there is no way by which voice commands can be processed for now. We can assume the iPad 2 to have the same issue.
Also Jailbreak Community member MuscleNerd has earlier Tweeted that porting Apple Siri to unsupported devices isn’t possible without resorting to piracy. As the Jailbreak Community is against piracy as it is illegal we cannot expect the Jailbreak Developers to go for this task.
We are constantly updating about any development regarding Apple Siri being ported to iPhone 4 or iPad 2. But we can say one thing for sure that when the trick arrives in order to get Siri you would have to jailbreak your device to get that. You can Jailbreak your iOS 5 device easily using the latest RedsnOw 0.9.9b5 tool. The step by step tutorial is shown here.
