Apple has today seeded the Beta 7 version of its latest iOS 5 which is currently under testing phase. Just few days ago we had reported the launch of the Beta 6 version and we had expected more releases of the Beta versions at a frequent basis as the official release of the iOS 5 closes in.
This may be one of the final releases, and Apple has almost bought all the features to the developers arena with the launch of iTunes Match a couple of days ago. As the update is available for developers only in order to get your hands on the Beta 7 you need to have a Developers account which you can buy from Apple Website for $ 99 a year. Serious iOS App Developers or Apple enthusiasts should go for this account as it provides all the previous beta releases, development tools and documentations. With this update Apple has introduced iTunes compatibility with the latest version of iOS.
To Sync your Device after you have installed Beta 7 do not forget to install iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 which is also available under the developers account.
The modes by which you do the update still remains the same. Either you can download the full update from the Apple website or you can directly go through the OTA updates and do the update without the need of any Mac. To go for the OTA updates simply go on to Settings > General > Software Update. Your device will download and install the update itself.
iOS 5 is the operating software for the iDevices which will be launched by Apple this fall. The formal announcement was done on June 6 in the WWDC. iOS 5 has many new features like an all new Notification Center, better Mobile Safari, support for iCloud and many more.
