If you happen to have an iDevice and Apple TV you can directly play music from your iDevice into Apple TV by the means of AirPlay. But for those who do not have Apple TV unfortunately this process isn’t that easy. For those people who do not have Apple TV, they can stream music from their iDevice and play it on PlayStation 3 using iTunesDB UPnPAVServer.
iTunesDB UPnPAVServer is a cool App which allows you to convert your iPod or iPhone into a music streaming sever supporting a multi-format range of audio files through Wi-Fi. Once installed in your iDevice your PS 3 will connect to it and you can browse your entire music library using the controller and play it on your surround sound.
Step 1: Setup your PS3 and iDevice into the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 2: Open Cydia in your iDevice and search and install iTunesDB UPnPAVServer
Step 3: Open the App on your Springboard and click on Start.
Step 4: Now start your PS3 and you will see the iDevice in the Music Icon.
Thats it !! Its all done and you can use other Apps too without breaking the Audio Streaming. The App is available in Cydia so of course you will need a Jailbroken iDevice and best of all this Cool App is available for Free.
